Guidelines for Presenters and Session Chairs
Each presenter in the regular parallel sessions is allocated a total of 10 minutes.
Presenters are requested to adhere strictly to the scheduled times to ensure the conference runs smoothly and participants can attend their preferred talks.
A primary responsibility of Session Chairs is to maintain the timetable.
Presenters must submit their presentations to the Speaker Ready Room (operating throughout Conference dates) and uploaded to the presentations platform at 16:00 hrs. of the day before the meeting the very latest, to ensure there is sufficient time to check and make any adjustments to the files.
Introduction of Speakers, presentations and discussion are to be made in English. No translation will be provided.
Oral Presentations will be delivered at the podium, microphone, clicker and laser pointer will be available. No personal computers will be allowed.
Here, you can find a template for your communication.
When you plan your presentation, think about making it understandable for a rather broad audience with different backgrounds and varying level of competence on the topic discussed. Use visuals and minimal text - one idea per slide.
Presenters are invited to meet with the Session Chair during the break preceding their session. Session Chairs will introduce each speaker, keeping introductions brief and avoiding lengthy biographies. Session Chairs should prepare at least one question per speaker to facilitate discussion. While they typically moderate the questions and discussion, speakers may lead this segment if practical, though time management remains the Session Chair’s responsibility.
