Arriving in Braga
Braga is easily accessible from Porto, making it a convenient destination for visitors traveling from Portugal’s second-largest city. Whether you prefer public transport or a private vehicle, there are several options to reach Braga comfortably.
- By Train: regular CP (Comboios de Portugal) urban trains run between Porto – São Bento / Porto – Campanhã and Braga, with a journey time of approximately 55 minutes. Trains operate frequently throughout the day, providing a comfortable and affordable travel option. Tickets can be purchased at train stations or online via the CP website.
- By Bus: several bus companies, such as FlixBus, Rede Expressos, and Get Bus, offer direct connections between Porto and Braga. The journey typically takes around 50 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic and departure location. Get Bus provides a direct transfer from Porto Airport (OPO) to Braga, making it a great choice for travelers arriving by plane.
- By Car: if you prefer driving, Braga is easily accessible via the A3 motorway, which connects Porto to Braga in approximately 40 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic.
- By Taxi or Ride-Sharing Services: taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are widely available in Porto and can provide a direct transfer to Braga. The trip typically takes 40 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Getting to the Conference Venue
Once in Braga, getting to Forum Braga is simple and accessible. Conveniently located in the city center, the venue is easily reachable by foot from many key landmarks, hotels, and public transport hubs. For those using public transport, several bus routes pass near Forum Braga, making it a hassle-free option for visitors. Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Bolt are also readily available for a quick and comfortable ride. If you’re driving, Forum Braga offers nearby parking facilities, ensuring easy access for those arriving by car.
